1. Cyst forms found in the feces .......... Go to: 4

4. Round to oval cyst (oocyst) with a small cap (micropyle). Uncultured: oocyst contains a single cell. Cultured: oocyst contains 4 sporocysts .......... Eimeria sp.

5.Pathology
a. No pathology, long healthy villi .......... Day 0
b. Ulceration, Bleeding out with blood in lumen .......... Day 5
c. Less pathology, villi regenerating, oocysts in lumen .......... Day 9

6.Coccideal forms
a. Organism in host cell, "halo" around organism's nucleus .......... Trophozoite
b. Organism over-fills host cell, large "bag" with many crescent forms inside .......... Meront with Merozoites
c. Organism in host cell, organism is round with pink refractile granules .......... Zygote
d. Organism in the lumen of the gut, yellow-brown refractile "shell" surrounds organism.......... Oocyst
