04a. Giardia Cyst -- Less than 12 µm. Non-motile ellipsoidal cyst stage, with organelles visible (nuclei (4), flagellar apparatus (= "axostyle").
Active Motile Flagellate.
04b. Giardia Trophozoite -- Active Motile Flagellate. Less than 21 µm long, bilaterally symetric, pear-shaped, with 2 nuclei, flagellar apparatus (= "axostyle"), median bodies and flagella (4 pairs).
